The new Visconti Van Gogh-inspired release is Oiran, a collection that pays tribute to the Japanese-influenced homonymous painting (1887).
In fact, the artist painted it during his Japonisme period, a term that indicates the attraction and interest of French painters of the time towards the art of the Rising Sun.
The pen, in its nuances, reproduces some of the colours used by Van Gogh: on the barrel the tones are warm, while on the cap they are cooler.
The metal coating in yellow gold is a perfect match.
The kit from the Visconti Van Gogh 2022 collection also pays homage to the painting which depicts a highborn courtesan.
The purple ink of the kit is one of the many shades of the traditional kimono worn by the woman in the painting.

From this collection, all Visconti Van Gogh pens will be sold together with their own kit, consisting of a booklet, a bookmark and a personalised ink for fountain pens: in fact, an extensive study has been carried out to associate each pen with a precise colour of ink.
