Private Reserve Ink was founded by Terry W. Johnson and Susan Schube in the workroom of Avalon Jewelers/Gallery in Zionsville, IN, as an addition to the fountain pen department. Terry's vision was simple... "Why not have fountain pen ink in a rainbow of colors to expand the bounds of writing beyound standard black, blue, red and green." Terry embraced and pioneered this idea.

As an artisan ink company with a small and dedicated staff, we carefully pour, label, box and ship by hand, holding true to Terry's vision and his signature customer service values. We believe in putting our energies into production of the best premium quality ink.

Products spanning bottled and cartridge fountain pen ink, ballpoint and rollerball refills, stamp pads, and ink mixing kits combine to provide a comprehensive product line.

Private Reserve Ink expanded and outgrew the jewelry store workroom and found larger quarters in picturesque Zionsville. Over the years, we have seen competition come and go, attempting to match our array of colors. Since imitation is a form of flattery, we have been and remained very flattered, but we sincerely believe that Private Reserve Ink remains the #1 premium ink on the market.
