OMAS Paragon "Calligrafia" Doppio Invertito Nib by TAKU★

Made from a red rippled ebonite this OMAS Paragon is an homage to the famous material of the past.
The Calligrafia model is OMAS first Paragon ever to be made from the vaunted substance.
Most importantly however, each Paragon Calligrafia is crowned with a truly special nib. The nib in question is “Doppio Invertito” nibs.
This nib is designed and ground to offer line variation anywhere from Extra Fine to BBBB depending on the writing angle of the user.

Each Paragon Calligrafia is furnished in a weathered silver finish giving them a truly unique and sophisticated look.
The nib themselves have a brushed finish, giving it a distinctive soft matte countenance.
The finial of the pen is adorned with a “yong” symbol.
The “yong” perfectly encapsulates the idea of the pen, as it contains all eight strokes common to Chinese characters, making it a pangram similar to “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”.

About TAKU:
TAKU★'s story as a nibmeister began his journey into the world of nibcrafting at the age of ten with a broken fountain pen given to him by his grandmother.
At the age of fourteen, TAKU★ had a fateful encounter with a teacher who taught him the basics and techniques of fountain pens, and began his activities as a nibmeister hence.
In the course of his activities as a nibmeister, he came to know the Japanese language, a language with a great variety of expressions, and the special techniques created by Japanese craftsmen to adapt to it.
At the same time, however, he also learned that these techniques and the culture of handwriting are in decline. “I thought it was necessary to preserve these techniques and traditions for future generations, and to disseminate them so that more people would know about them”.
TAKU★ believes that in our digital world, the written word still holds a great power. He is convinced that handwriting has a unique expressive power that digital methods cannot match.
