1945: The war had finally ended, and Florence was beginning a slow rebirth. In the very central Via Cavour, Antonio Sacchetti, a young graduate and bank employee, gave up his stable job and opened a “shop” - the evergreen “Casa della Stilografica” (“House of Fountain Pens”) - destined to become over the years the point of reference for many Florentines who loved beautiful writing.
Back then, in the mid-1940s, the first signs of newfound well-being were being tasted: for some a new car or a motorcycle, for many a new bicycle.
The fountain pen also acquired its own role, for many it was the memory of their first communion, of a promotion from middle school to university, for others it was a loyal companion that had accompanied them during the war, along the roads of the world, to tell stories more or less sad.
For everyone, the fountain pen was a cherished item, not to be discarded.
Antonio Sacchetti welcomed those who sought his help, whether to restore a cherished item or suggest a gift. Mr. Antonio always made time for everyone and often the purchase of a bottle of ink or a simple box of cartridges was an opportunity to start a conversation that invariably ended up having the fountain pen as its subject.

80 years have passed and the Casa della Stilografica is still the ideal meeting place for many lovers of beautiful writing.
Today the shop is run by me with the close collaboration of my mother Patrizia, Nicolò, Maho, Laura, Patricia and our webmaster Francesco.
Florence is the capital of Tuscany, one of the Italian cities that we can most compare to an open-air museum: there are countless works of art and architecture that adorn the city.

Rich in history and culture, Florence has a magic all its own. For this reason, we have decided, in collaboration with Delta, to dedicate a collection to Florence!

Delta, Artigiani della Scrittura, for over 45 years of manufacturing fine writing instruments, is proud to present the extraordinary Firenze Collection, the result of an “exclusive” collaboration with one of the most prestigious references in the world for the sale of “pens”, a reference for many enthusiasts and collectors: Casa della Stilografica – Florence.
This line, created with the usual artisan care and attention to detail, is dedicated to the City of Florence, celebrating its history, art, and its extraordinary beauty.

Numbered edition, consisting of four versions:
- Palladium plated fountain pen, steel nib, standard cartridge filling and converter.
- 24 carat gold plated fountain pen, steel nib, cartridge filling and converter.
- Palladium plated fountain pen, 14 carat gold nib, fixed piston filling.
- 24 carat gold-plated fountain pen, 14-karat gold nib, fixed piston filling.
DELTA – “FIRENZE” COLLECTION - Technical characteristics:
Each fountain pen is made of special resin hand-turned from solid bar, in the colors red and white/ivory, colors that reflect the colors of the Heraldic Shield of the City, polished to a mirror-like surface; on its body, cap and barrel, the “lily”, an iconic Florentine element, is constantly engraved in a refined manner; small metal parts in 24 carat gold plated or precious palladium plated (depending on the version); equipped by steel or 14 carat gold nib (depending on the version); decorative band placed at the base of the cap, in solid 925 sterling silver (white or vermeil depending on the version), made in lost wax casting, according to the most ancient artisanal techniques of the goldsmith’s art tradition, and finished by hand, it represents the “skyline” of the City of Florence; a cabochon is set on the top of the cap which reflects the “lily” motif in high relief
