The name of Visconti has been synonymous with writing implements of unparalleled historical and technological sophistication for the past twenty-five years. To mark its twenty-fifth anniversary in 2013, Visconti took on board the human resources, the know-how and the traditional tools of Florentine watch-making to begin making its own luxury timepieces. A new area has been set aside in Visconti’s historic Medici villa for the sole purpose of manufacturing top-of-the-range watches featuring the same creative and innovative vein that customers look for in all of the company’s products. Less than six months after the launch of its first two models - “Solotempo” and “GMT” in its “Bridge Over Time” collection - Visconti has now decided to expand its offer with a professional diver’s watch, a chronograph and a show-piece in sapphire crystal with a Visconti calibre movement. This is only the beginning, however, and we are ready, with our customers, to give of our best in producing increasingly interesting designs and timepieces. Consider our overly small stand your home, a home where you can admire the products of a company that has decided to enter the world of timepieces through the front door, with all of the honours and obligations that that entails.

Crystal Demo
Over twenty years devoted to transparent instruments known as demonstrators, and the technological challenge for a young company rooted in tradition, provided us with the stimulus we needed to produce a sapphire crystal watch, a show-piece hitherto within the reach of only a handful of major watchmakers. Not content, Visconti decided to go even further, outdoing the competition by designing and manufacturing not only the case but also the complete strap with fully nine sapphire links. The precious experience that Visconti’s engineers and designers have built up in over twenty years has been crucial in resolving the extremely numerous problems associated with such a complex watch. Such a masterpiece could not make do with a standard commercial movement, so Visconti’s Swiss partners joined with our own engineers to create a demi-squelette, twin barrel Visconti calibre movement with a five-day charge capacity and a retrograde calendar.

Tested in the deep sea
The unparalleled creativity of Visconti’s designers and the peerless skill of its engineers have not only achieved the Basel 2014 target, they have also won the approval of such professional experts as the CNS, Italy’s National Diver Centre, forging close professional ties with the centre in the development of its monobloc Scuba Abissus 3.000 mt. watch, with two patents currently pending.

Tested on the track
The personal passion for speed of Visconti’s founder, who is an amateur pilot himself, contributed to the design of the Chrono Collection, and the company is in the process of negotiating entering its own world-class team in the Superbike World Championship.

CASE:
In stainless steel, micro-shot blasted and satin-finished, with brown PVD components. Diameter 42.00 mm, thickness 15.20 mm. Two upper bridges in stainless steel. The back cover is tightened in place. Flat sapphire crystal; lower porthole in sapphire crystal.
  DIAL:
Cream colour and guillochée finish with Visconti motif in relief. Applied hour-markers and mounted ring. The display of the date shows seven days and has a dedicated area for the current day.

HANDS: Hour and minute hands with exclusive Visconti design. Luminescent coating on hours and minutes.
  STRAP AND CLASP:
Hand sewn leather, water resistant strap; exclusive Visconti buckle with brown PVD coating. Leather strap quick change system.
