“My grandfather was a bank clerk, then one day he felt he had enough and decided to open a shop to cultivate his passion, fountain-pens”-Marco Moricci says.
He is the third generation now, but still working in the same place “Casa della Stilografica”, established by his great grandfather in 1945 in the central Via Cavour, Florence.
Since then many things have changed, but the passion for writing seems to be still fashionable, despite crisis and the new technologies.
3.000 writing tools and more than 300 ink types, various in colour, composition, fluidity and brand. No need to say that in this Florentine temple of writing ( very rare indeed, for in Italy there are only about 30), the fountainpen in all its shapes and dimensions, is the queen: inexpensive or refined, made of precious materials, hand painted, limited editions or arrived from the farthest corners of the globe, especially from Japan which is said to boast maybe the best makers in the world.
“ It's great to discover that even young people love our pens so much, we ship all over the world exclusive productions made just for our clients”.
So, pen and ink-pot rite is celebrated.
