The fountain pen ink that  you use in your pens plays an important part in the writing experience.
The writing experience with an individual pen is a combination of:

• ink color
• flow
• density
• nib
• paper
   

Most fountain pen manufacturers also provide a brand of ink: Aurora, Caran d'Ache, Delta, Graf von Faber Castell, Kaweco, Lamy Montblanc, Parker, Omas, Pelikan, Pilot, Platinum, Sailor, Visconti, Waterman and many other.
The recent resurgence of fountain pen use has also created a market for companies that specialize in ink only, like Diamine, J.Herin, Rohrer & Klingner and many others.

Care must be taken when using some vintage pens manufactured from celluloid, as this material can become stained by long–term exposure to some inks.
