In 1966, the LAMY 2000 marked the start of the era of unmistakeable Lamy design. With its distinctive, ostentatious form, it has become a role model for numerous other innovative designs by the brand and has remained a timeless classic as one of Lamy’s most successful series of writing instruments. 50 years after its introduction onto the market, the brand is now reinterpreting this design icon: the LAMY 2000 M is being released in a strictly limited numbered special edition with an exceptional “black amber” surface to mark this anniversary year.
The all-metal LAMY 2000 M black amber anniversary edition comes with a brushed surface and unique structure. Its characteristic colour is the result of an elaborate electroplating process whereby stainless steel and galvanic surface processing form a lasting combination. The high-quality finish has a pleasantly warm feel and, combined with the characteristic weight of the pen and 14 kt gold nib, creates a sensual writing experience.
A subtle “50” on each pen, paired with the Lamy logo, emphasises the value of the pen and signalises the special status of this strictly limited series. Each pen is consecutively numbered, with a filigree engraved number on the lid, reflecting its truly unique status.
The fountain pen series will be limited to 5,000 pens whereas the ballpoint and rollerball are limited to 1,500 each.
The fountain pen is available as a stylish design piece in a sophisticated gift box, complete with traditional ink bottle. If desired, a personal note can also be engraved on the spring-loaded, platinum-coated stainless steel clip. A ballpoint and rollerball complete the series and are supplied in high-quality gift packaging. The fountain pen, ballpoint and rollerball will also be available in an exclusive three pen set in a very limited number of items.
The LAMY 2000 M black amber will be available from September 2016.
